Lilian Cohen is a Melbourne-based writer who returned to Australia after living in Israel for most of her adult life. After spending time on a kibbutz in the Jezreel Valley, she and her husband moved to Haifa where she taught English language and literature until her retirement. Deciding to focus on her writing, she completed a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing in Melbourne, winning second prize in the 2017 Boroondara Open Short Story competition. Her poetry and short stories have been published in Australia, Israel and the USA. ‘Murder in Hebrew’ is her first crime novel.
